So glad you are here!
This is a website to support parents and their babies from the time of conception to year one.
Welcome to a needed and very important discussion about babies in the womb and their caregivers. The goal is to create awareness about the importance of developing calming wombs during pregnancy. I am setting up the intention to honor babies by discussing the benefits of being raised in a peaceful womb. While the mothers’, parents’, caregivers, even well intended OB-GYN personnel and psychotherapists like me will have little control over the adverse events that may occur during pregnancy, much can be done to diminish the impact of these difficult situations on both mother and baby.
The writings on this site will be focusing on the Prenatal needs of Baby + Mom before the baby is born and the Perinatal tasks around birth meaning before, during and one year after birthing.
Healthy Nutrition
Fruits and vegetables are critical components of pregnancy nutrition, since they provide various vitamins and minerals, as well as fiber to aid digestion. Dark green vegetables have vitamin A, iron and folate — other important nutrients during pregnancy.
Physical Health
Most exercises are safe to perform during pregnancy, as long as you exercise with caution and do not overdo it. The safest and most productive activities are swimming, brisk walking, indoor stationary bicycling, and low-impact aerobics.
Mental Health
Pregnancy brings a mix of feelings. If you’re feeling worried, you’re not alone. Worry is common, especially during a woman’s first pregnancy or an unplanned one. It can be even harder if you’re dealing with depression or anxiety.
Predictors of Baby Wellness
How a mother feels about her pregnancy and how much the father supports the mother has a lot to do with the physical and developmental health of the child.
